Another example of the negative types of streaks we know and love in sports. The Pittsburgh Pirates and their fans suffered through 20 seasons in a row with a losing record, from 1993 through 2012. In 2013, they finally broke the streak, finishing the season with a 94-68 record, good for .580. Before them, another Philadelphia team held the record: the Phillies who had a losing record for 16 consecutive seasons, but that was all the way back in the 1940s.
