Whatever you do, never ever sign a blank authorization form. At the old garage I used to work at, I would always see mechanics have their customers sign an empty form which meant that, as long as they had the client’s signature, they could pretty much do and charge whatever they wanted.

Stay away from blank forms

If the paperwork doesn’t clearly spell out what will be fixed, how, and how much, then don’t sign it. I see way too many disappointed clients who find themselves paying way more than expected.
