When Caitlin confronted her father about his request at the groomer, he told her why Oliver looked like he did. Caitlin’s dad said he took Oliver to the groomer and said he “wanted stripes like a tiger.” He then instructed the groomer to “do what you can.”
Considering Oliver has long hair and is the wrong color, it was a difficult challenge for the groomer, and they did everything possible to make the cat look dangerous. Thankfully they stopped short of dying the cat’s hair orange to really complete the look and send Caitlin and her mom into meltdown. It was clear from the beginning that Caitlin and her mother were not impressed with the style Oliver received at the groomer.
