Dakota Fanning and her little sister Elle have both been acting since before they were in first grade, with Dakota acting professionally since she was five and Elle since she was three. At age eight, Dakota was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award, making her the youngest person ever nominated. That’s quite the pedigree. Even more impressive, though, is the Fannings’ actual pedigree. They’re the twenty-second great-granddaughters of King Edward III, who ruled England in the 14th century. That also makes them distant cousins of Kate Middleton, another of the king’s descendants.
