Soon enough, the fawn was able to walk around without any difficulty, and had even started to run too. The change in her was apparent, and it was clear to Sasnauskas that she was almost ready to return to the wild.

However, no-one in his family wanted to see her go. The other animals had all grown so fond of the young deer, especially Mack. They couldn’t keep her around forever, though. Despite everything, Sasnauskas was still determined to abide by his earlier rules – no wild animals as pets.
