Staying behind could expose the family to potential dangers in the area, but the fawn was one of her own. Surely the mother couldn’t abandon it in its time of need. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what happened. Scared and alone, the young animal now had to look after itself, although little did she know that her guardian angel was waiting in the wings.
