Just as things were starting to look precarious, Zac heard a jet ski. First responders from Orange Beach Fire Department and Orange Beach Surf Rescue had been out on the water rescuing another swimmer in trouble.

Once they finished with that emergency, they rushed back out to save Jamel. The jet ski was towing a sled to help with rescue, so Zac pulled Jamel up onto the sled, pinning him down with his body. He grabbed both sides of the sled to hold the teen on and shouted, “Go!”
