This experiment proves how every creature plays a part in the delicate balance of nature. Here we have two tanks with water from a stream. The one on the left only has water, and the one on the right has the water, and mussels. They look the same now, but the second photo shows what happens after only 24 hours.
After one day, the water on the left tank has settled and it looks clearer than before, until you glance to the right, and see what happened to the tank with the mussels – they have completely filtered the water, so much so that you can see through the glass.
