Although Jacqueline had originally been incredibly excited about her trip to Disneyland, she had not thought about how her weight would affect her. After watching passers-by point and stare at her in the wheelchair, she realized what kind of situation she had put herself into.
She was the largest she had ever been, so would she even be able to go on the rides? Because she was scared she would be turned away, Jacqueline made up a few white lies. She told her boyfriend and sister that she didn’t want to go on the rides.
