Eventually, Jacqueline was able to force herself out of the turnstile, and although she tried to join in with the laughs of those around her – she was absolutely heartbroken. She was embarrassed, she felt ashamed, and she immediately ran to the restrooms to cry her eyes out.
She spent the next few weeks playing back this moment in her mind, and in February 2012, she decided to do something about her weight that would mean something like that would never happen again. She had just turned 25 years old, and this was the year of change.
