Selena Gomez is all grown up

With Selena’s time on the Disney Channel coming to an end, the star wanted to try and mature her image. She ended up starring as one of the lead characters in the crime film “Spring Breakers” alongside another Disney alum, Vanessa Hudgens.

The presence of violence and narcotics in the movie was a far cry from the kind of family-friendly entertainment that Selena was used to, but it worked to her advantage. Acting in more adult roles helped her break away from being typecast and allowed her to stay relevant.
