Before she retired in 2016, Miesha Tate was easily one of the best mixed martial artists in the entire world. An award winning fighter, Miesha won the Bantamweight championship by beating Holly Holm, a fighter who had taken the belt just a little bit prior from Ronda Rousey. However, she would lose the belt only a few months later after getting walloped by Amanda Nunes. The head of the UFC, Dana White, says that Tate was integral in getting women into UFC.
