Actress Peggy Rea had a fairly successful career after her time in The Waltons and often found success playing characters similar to Rose. From 1979 to 1985 Rea played the role of Lulu Hogg in the hit TV show The Dukes of Hazzard, and had a brief stint on the sitcom Step by Step from 1991-1992.

Rea’s last major role was in the sitcom Grace Under Fire, in which she played Jean Kelly, the mother of main character Grace Kelly. Rea passed away in 2011.
