Martinez signed a five-year, $110 million contract with the Red Sox this past offseason, and he’s due to make the same paycheck through the end of the 2020 season, after which he will earn $19.3 million in 2021 and 2022. The outfielder is the second highest-paid player on the Red Sox, the team that gave him the biggest pay day of his career. Previously his best year salary-wise was 2017, when he earned just $6.8 million.
