Cynthia Cooper’s career in the WNBA started when the league itself started in 1997. Right off the bat she played for the Houston Comets and took absolute control of business, dominating the league by winning four straight finals and winning the MVP in all of those finals.
After that, she decided to take a little break, but would return in 2003. Cooper’s performance on the basketball court is the stuff of legend, and people still remember how good she was.
