Water polo protects its swimmers. According to the sports’ Olympic rules, you are not allowed to hit, grab or kick in the crotch area. Doing so could get you ejected from the game. But not only that, the game, obviously played in a pool, forbids players from splashing water in each other’s faces. Splashing counts as an exclusion foul, sending the player out of the game for 20 seconds and the team remains a player down.
