Eric Camden is the father of the bunch and he is a reverend, attempting to raise his family with religious values. He falls in love with Annie Jackson and the two get married and start a family together shortly after he graduates college.
Throughout the series, Eric has multiple different problems with his heart, but he survives all of them. He does, however, leave his faith behind for a bit after he has a heart surgery, but later returns to the church.
