Although Michael was once addicted to illegal substances, he has been sober for the last two years and put his time to good use. Michael works with his partner, Erica, and the pair care for pit bulls at their No More Pain kennels.

The couple collect stray pit bulls until they find their forever family. Michael has put his carpentry skills to good use by creating a 4,000-square-foot facility.
