Before marrying into the baseball world, Misty was once an Olympic gold medalist in beach volleyball. It was in a sports therapy hangout in January 2004 that she met Matt Treanor. The couple immediately hit it off as just ten months later they were walking down the aisle. Matt retired from baseball in 2014 but had played for a number of teams over the years. Misty, too, decided to retire from her sport after years of success. In November this year, the couple welcomed newborn twins.
