Kate thought it ridiculous that she had been slapped with charges for Milo’s actions – and that the law would apply to a household pet on their own property. She accepted that if potentially dangerous animals were left roaming around, or pets were constantly making trouble on other people’s property, then that could be a problem.
However, that was plainly not the case for a cat lying on the lawn of its own house. Not only that, but now she was expected to appear in court for such a thing!
