This is something Krista clearly wants to get right, so she goes through a few options with her mom. She started off at 400 as a pretty standard guess, but that was too hot for the bread, although her mom didn’t offer a rough temperature.
(explains her personal feelings on double raising bread, which apparently is something people fight over)
Me: What do you bake it on?
Mom: You puts in the pans, maid.
Me: I mean, temperature.
Mom: Not too hot.
Me: 400?
Mom: That’s too hot!
Me: Okay, so 350?

Eventually, they agree on 350, which seems to satisfy the mom too. It seems they’re finally getting somewhere! The final question, and possibly the most important, was soon to come.
