Dana Whitley Vollmer is a swimmer and was a member of the gold-winning USA swim team in the 2012 Olympic Games in London. One of the youngest in the team, she swam for the Florida Gators in college, where she trained under coach Gregg Troy.
In 2009, she broke Natalie Coughlin’s American record 200-yard freestyle record, finishing at 1:41.53. She’s won a total of 32 medals in major international competitions, including 19 gold ones. She won 3 individual gold medals in 2012 besides the medley ones for the team.
