Back in 2014, Kei Nishikori became the first Asian player to play in a men’s Grand Slam Final. Fast forward a few years and he’s making $33.9 million. He easily won over sponsors, and this past year made $30 million just from endorsements, including companies such as Nike, Jaguar, Tag Heuer, Uniqlo and Wilson. Going forward, according to Forbes, he’s expected to be one of the faces of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics (he won a gold in Rio in 2016).
