After wrapping up his first season in the minor leagues with the White Sox affiliate, Michael Jordan returned to Chicago on November 1, 1994 to watch his no. 23 jersey be retired. That same day the Bulls lifted a banner commemorating their third title from 1993. At that point, Jordan had won three titles with the Bulls and was a three-time Finals MVP. Little did they all know that within less than a year he’ll be back, but wearing a new number.
