As it turns out, Jordan couldn’t stay away too long, even with a management position he had to put on a uniform. On September 25, 2001, Jordan returned as a player again, but this time it was for a two-year contract with his new team, the Wizards. Jordan brought with him his former coach, Doug Collins, to help try and revive the team. Their addition helped draw fans to the stadium, but the team failed to make the playoffs both seasons.
