Back in the 1970s, the UCLA men’s basketball team dominated the NCAA. John Wooden and his team won 88 consecutive games, meaning two 30-0 seasons in a row. Their streak was finally brought to an end on January 23, 1971, by the Notre Dame Fighting Irish, who beat the Bruins by a single point, 71-70.
