Joe DiMaggio has one of the most impressive streaks in baseball: the New York Yankee legend had at least one hit in 56 consecutive games. He’s held the record for more than seven decades, since 1941. The streak began on May 15, 1941 and lasted through July 17th of the same year. DiMaggio’s streak ended when the Yankees faced the Cleveland Indians and he failed to get a hit. That season DiMaggio hit .357/.440/.643 with 125 RBI, 30 HR, 193 hits and 122 runs.
