I’m not proud of it, but sometimes when cars are brought in for maintenance I will skip over some of the less important adjustments on the shop’s official list – especially when I am pressed for time.
Stuff like latching mechanisms or smoothing over door hinges gets missed all the time. It doesn’t really affect the car’s performance or anything, but it eventually could over time if those issues keep getting overlooked again and again.
