In 2015, Harvey hosted the Miss Universe pageant, held in Las Vegas, Nevada. When the time came to announce the winner, Harvey proclaimed that 1st place had been taken by Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutiérrez. However, Harvey would soon have to reveal that he had made a grievous error, and that Gutiérrez was in fact 1st runner up, with Miss Philippines, Pia Wurtzbach, actually taking the title. This might not have been so bad, but by the time Harvey announced his mistake, Gutiérrez had already been crowned and given a chance to bask in the limelight.
