Actress and model Brooke Shields really had to prove herself to the public throughout her career. Starting off as a model was enough of a barrier to being taken seriously as an actress, and things weren’t helped by her widely panned performance in 1980’s ‘The Blue Lagoon’. However, the years went by and Shields put in well received performances in films such as 1981’s ‘Endless Love’, and even played the lead role in the sitcom ‘Suddenly Susan’.
