Jolie may actually be more suited for the part than anyone thought, as she has royal lineage of her own. Through her mom, French humanitarian Marcheline Bertrand, the Oscar-winning actress has roots going all the way back to 12th-century French King Philip II. Bonus points: Jolie is also related to Louis VII, whose wife Eleanor of Aquitaine was also married to Henry II…who’s Brad Pitt’s ancestor.
