We love the perfect stillness of each of these pictures, and how, as a set, they illustrate the passage of time by encapsulating spring, summer, fall, and winter.
This is the work of photographer Jozef Morgos, who shot the same tree in western Slovakia throughout an entire year. The changing look of the tree and its surroundings is even more fascinating for those of us who live in areas where the seasons are not that different from each other.
