There are many ways to spot a counterfeit bill. One is to check the quality of the printing, and if the ink is slightly raised, which should happen with genuine currency. Another is to verify if there are red and blue fibers embedded in the paper.
And apparently, yet another tactic is to see if the watermark face on the bill looks like that failed restoration of Ecce Homo. Remember? The case of the elderly parishioner with the worst example of DIY in history? We remember.
