The people who look at this photo of a modern corn cob standing next to to the original wild plant will be divided into two groups. The first one will reflect upon how far humans have come, and how Homo sapiens has thrived thought the millennia by conquering and manipulation all other types of life.
The other group, however, will do no such thing. They will simply look at the original wild plant that was domesticated into becoming the modern corn, and think – “that thing probably made really tiny pop corn.”
