This is the type of action that gives us hope for the future. The “before” photo shows the situation in Mumbai, India, when a team of volunteers started working around the Mithi River.
“Mithi” means sweet in Hindi, but the reality of the river’s surroundings did not correspond to its beautiful name. The “after” photo, however, shows the result of its cleaning, and now the volunteers are working on how to keep it that way.
