Blue whales are so humongous that it can be hard for us to comprehend, so let’s start small, with its babies. A baby blue whale, when it’s born, is around 25 feet long, and weighs up to 3 tons.
Too much? What if we go by parts? A blue whale’s heart weighs as much as an automobile. And its tongue weighs as much as an elephant. Still difficult to understand, huh? That’s why this photo of a diver swimming close to a blue whale is so awe-inspiring.
