In 1994, a former student got off two shots in Prince Charles’ direction as he rushed the stage the prince was on during an award ceremony in Sydney. Charles’ bodyguard pushed him out of the way, risking his own life in the process. The prince never forgot this experience, and was reportedly concerned before his son and daughter-in-law’s tour.
