Duchess Meghan’s new unnamed bodyguard isn’t the only one who has her back, though – maybe in a less literal sense. Amy Pickerill is Meghan’s private secretary, and she has a no less important function to fill for the young, inexperienced duchess.

Pickerill is responsible for managing Markle’s busy schedule and helps her while she’s out in public engagements – she even shoved a photographer away from her boss in Australia. Pickerill began working for Meghan several months before her wedding, and has been helping her acclimate to royal life.
