Michael Oher beats it all

Due to the fact that his mother was never around, he was essentially raised on the streets of north Memphis from a very young age. He never was able to have a stable life, having gone to 11 schools before the time he reached his freshman year in high school. In fact, Michael was doing so poorly in school that he had to repeat both first and second grades. A big kid, various gangs in Memphis began scouting him to be a bodyguard.
