A recent article in the New York Times reported a study which showed that of 110 out of 111 former NFL players who had recently died showed signs of Chronic traumatic encephalopathy, otherwise known as CTE. It is believed that this disease, which affects brain function, is a direct result of so many hits to the head. Oher has had several concussions, and he is now helping to bring this disease to light inside the NFL, causing a stir by posting all the “brain pills” he needs to take.
