Mike Utley loves to speak about himself in the third-person, but everywhere he goes, he says he doesn’t only represent himself, but everyone who has helped him along the way. He said, “this is the truth: when you leave your house, you’re representing not only yourself, and representing your Mom and Dad, you’re representing Kennedy High School (in suburban Seattle), Washington State, and the Detroit Lions. There’s more to it than where you are.” Mike had an illustrious but short football career, and he’s thankful to everyone involved.
