Mike Utley met his wife, Dani, at a local East Washington gym, where he was hard at rehabilitation work on his arms and upper body, which were paralyzed during a game against the LA Rams. For Mike, it was love at first bench press, and the two have been training together ever since, with Dani participating in activities that help with Mike’s recovery. Dani also accompanies her husband to his inspiration talks and other public appearances. They married in 2001, and remain a happy couple since ever.
