Prior to his NFL stardom, Smith infamously worked at a local Taco Bell while in high school and junior college. But that all changed when he was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the third round of the 2001 Draft. Smith’s appreciation for his opportunity translated to his strong efforts on the field. He currently ranks in eight place all-time with 14,731 receiving yards, as well as 12th with 1,031 career receptions. His hard work and ability to overcome adversity certainly paid dividends.
