For the royals, the moment of getting called for jury duty will never come, because legally they are exempt from ever taking part. They have a free pass if you will – a get out of jail free card.
However, in 2002, the law for this exemption was changed slightly. It was once the entirety of the Royal Family and their servants who had the free pass, but now, it’s only the Queen and her immediate family.
