In the UK, all citizens have a legal right to request access to publicized organization records, which includes personal information, records, and documents. This is called the ‘Freedom of Information Act’.
It means that anyone is legally allowed to request this information, and everyone is required to subject themselves to their own personal information being made public. That is, of course, everyone except the royals, who can continue to keep their curtains closed from any of us commoners looking too far into the windows of their personal lives.
