Fur has always been a controversial choice of attire, and the legalities of wearing fur as clothing go way back to 1137 when King Edward III announced that no one, including the Royal Family, was allowed to wear fur.
However, now in the 21st century, we often see numerous members of the monarchy wearing animal fur. The Queen herself has previously been seen sporting fur hats and coat linings, much to the disgust of animal rights activists and the general public too.
