Spectacular catches in major league baseball are the norm, but don’t try to get too creative with your method. According to MLB’s rules, if a player catches or touches a fair ball with their mask, hat, or pretty much any part of their uniform that isn’t their glove, the runners on base advance three bases. So moral of the story, while playing baseball in the majors, keep your uniform in place, and don’t try anything too creative.
