Cheerleaders are the fact of their respective franchises. As such, it should come as no surprise that appearance is pretty much everything. However, the rules don’t just apply to game-day. Some NFL franchises forbid their cheerleaders from having any tattoos visible during personal appearances, and even during practice!

And no, covering them up with band-aids (is that something people do?) doesn’t cut, as per the guides. As for jewelry, generally only wedding rings are allowed to be worn on game-day. Almost everything else – including piercings and watches – are strictly banned.
