The call had come through from a man called Jon, who was part of a camping party in Exmoor, in South England. A 12-year-old girl that was part of the group, May, was suffering from an epileptic fit and needed help immediately.
However, none of the group were able to get reception on their phones, in order to call for help. Luckily, Jon had brought a radio set with him on the camping trip, and was able to put out a distress call, which had reached Mike’s radio among several others.
