DeeDee Trotter has been nicknamed “Track’s Soul” due to her numerous charity contributions and involvement with charity organizations around the world. She founded a charity that provides shows for the homeless and co-founded the organization Test Me I’m Clean, for anti-doping advocacy.
She also created Run for the People, where professional Track & Field athletes raise money for charity by participating in friendly competitions, and continues to speak out on behalf of women and children’s rights. She is retired from the sport, and spends her time coaching kids and speaking to young athletes around the world.
